As a Residential Technician at the Arch, you will work directly with residents to ensure their safety and well-being. The ideal candidate will possess a strong sense of responsibility, professionalism, and care for others.
Responsibilities:
- Uphold the Mission and Vision of Carroll Institute.
- Understand and maintain confidentiality as defined by the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act of 1996 (HIPAA).
- Be familiar with policies, procedures, fire regulations, health and safety regulations.
- Supervise residents' self-administration of any medication prescribed by a physician and document accurately.
- Responsible for assigned clerical duties (typing, filing, etc.).
- Keeping the Arch clean and orderly by supervising and working with residents as they complete their assigned duties.
- Conduct rounds accounting for Arch residents and ensuring their safety.
- Communicating appropriately with local referral sources and community agencies.
- Attend and participate in staff meetings.
- Work closely with staff to establish and maintain a welcoming environment.
- Assist in establishing and maintaining good relations with civic, professional, governmental entities.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- 1 year of sobriety if in recovery
Preferred Skills/Competencies:
- Effective communication
- Familiarity with Microsoft Outlook, Excel, Word
- De-escalation techniques
- Ability to lift a minimum of 25lbs.
- Climb stairs and be on feet for an extended period of time
Hourly rate starts at $18.00 up to $23.49 per hour depending on experience.
